Bug ID: 517540
Summary: Pressing a key that is not mapped to a shortcut
changes the selected layer to that of a layer whose
name starts with that key.
Classification: Applications
Product: krita
Version First 5.2.15
Reported In:
Platform: Microsoft Windows
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Shortcuts and Canvas Input Settings
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
Pressing a key that is not mapped to a shortcut changes the selected layer to
that of a layer whose name starts with that key. While this seems to be the
case with any "unassigned" key, under default settings, this affects the
usability of spacebar as the intended pan tool toggle.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a layer with a whitespace at the start of its name.
2. Create a second layer with a different name, and without a whitespace at the
start.
3. Select the second layer.
4. Press spacebar.
OBSERVED RESULT
The first layer with the whitespace at the start is reselected.
EXPECTED RESULT
Changing the selected layer should not occur because, by default, the spacebar
is used as a toggle for the pan tool.
