            Bug ID: 517676
Summary: Screen content flickers when switching desktops slowly
                    and manually
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kwin
      Version First 6.6.2
       Reported In:
          Platform: Arch Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: compositing
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When sliding through desktops manually (e.g. with a touchpad), the screen
content flickers/flashers as the transition progresses, making it a headache to
look at for too long.

First hypothesis: the movement isn't performed cleanly pixel by pixel, so
in-between pixels get blended and the content flashes when the contrast is too
high.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Manually slide with 3 fingers slowly to switch desktops, do it slowly so
it's easier to notice

OBSERVED RESULT
In-between pixels blend in the grid, making the contents flash for non-integer
movement.

EXPECTED RESULT
The desktop switch/screen scrolling should be done with integer movements (e.g.
no half-pixel scroll, only one by one) to eliminate the blendings, no matter
what the scale factor is.
