Console info seems to blame libKExiv2: "Cannot load metadata from file (Error
# 14 : Failed to read image data )".
Gwenview pukes with the error: kf.i18n.kuit: "Unknown subcue ':whatsthis,' in
UI marker in context {@info:whatsthis, %1 the action's text}.
ImageMagick and Firefox load and display the images without issue.
/usr/bin/file identifies the files correctly, and file --mime-type or
--mime-encoding both return correct information.
Some reports elsewhere note issues with colord.service.
This problem is new (within the last week since I updated packages), and
persists following a reboot.
The crash can be reproduced every time.
