STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Install KDE Neon User Edition from the 20260228 live USB ISO (Build 1321),
based on Ubuntu 24.04 (Noble).
Open a terminal and run pkcon refresh to update package lists.
Run pkcon update to perform a system upgrade.
OBSERVED RESULT
The update hard-fails immediately with the following output:
Fatal error: The following packages have unmet dependencies: kf6-kfilemetadata:
Depends: libpoppler-qt6-3t64 (>= 24.08.0) but 24.02.0-1ubuntu9.8 is to be
installed
Running sudo apt full-upgrade --dry-run reveals that apt attempts to hold back
a large portion of the Plasma 6 desktop (plasma-desktop, plasma-workspace,
dolphin, ark, gwenview, etc.) because it cannot resolve the missing libpoppler
dependency required by the new kf6-kfilemetadata (version 6.24.0) package.
EXPECTED RESULT
The pkcon update command completes successfully. The backported
libpoppler-qt6-3t64 package (version 24.08.0) should be present in the Neon
Noble user repository alongside the KDE Frameworks update that demands it.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
ISO Build: 1321 (Dated 02-28-2026).
It appears the build server successfully pushed the new KDE Frameworks updates
to the user mirror but missed pushing the required backported libpoppler
24.08.0 dependency, leaving systems stuck on the older Noble-provided 24.02.0
version.
