            Bug ID: 517926
Summary: On save sometimes two tabs get "entangled" and cause
                    them to save over eachother
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kate
      Version First 25.12.3
       Reported In:
          Platform: Arch Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
On save sometimes two tabs get "entangled" and cause them to save over
eachother

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Save with format on save enabled
2. Have the formatter take long enough
3. Switch to another tab before the formatter applies

OBSERVED RESULT
The tabs become entangled as long as they're open, causing saving one to
overwrite the other, though not destroying the history.

EXPECTED RESULT
To not entangle

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This has been happening for a while, but I've only recently realized what
likely was causing it. There seem to be several bugs related to the formater,
with saving a file you're editing over the network not working properly, though
I don't think network based files work all too well in the first place.
