My most plausible guess is that because Kdenlive doesn't have a way to natively draw shapes and one has to recur to the "color clips", it creates full resolution color clips, then applies the Transform filter to reduce the squares/rectangles to the desired size along with the rest of the clips, and because those squares and rectangles are actually full resolution video clips being stretched and shrunk and moved, those transforms cost tons of memory because Kdenlive has no actual way to draw shapes other than that. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
