            Bug ID: 518393
Summary: Reloading of screen configuration is extremely slow
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: KScreen
      Version First 6.6.3
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: common
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
The reloading of screen configuration is very slow. I have an USB-C dock with
two connected screens. Removing one of the screens (e.g. by switch off) reloads
the one screen config, however the reload process takes about 17sec, which is
very slow. Switching back the second screen it also takes about the same time
to reload the two screen config. During the reload the non-removed (constantly
present through the process) screen is also seems to be disconnected totally
(the monitor reports no signal) which seems to be absolutely unnecessary.

OBSERVED RESULT
Very slow reload of screen config and the non removed screen is also fully
disconnected during the reload process.

EXPECTED RESULT
A fast switch where the not affected screen is not disconnected only the
desktop arrangement changes, like with Windows.
