Since Krita is a painting program, it defaults to a painting workflow, not loading files and switching between applications. But you can create a feature request on the Krita Artists forum in this regard and if there is enough interest it may be worth implementing if it's common enough. 5) Krita does not create the file, the operating system does. By the time it could check whether the name is wrong, the (empty) file with the wrong name already exists.
