Bug ID: 518446
Summary: Episode marked as finished and next episode starting
when quick upload to sync server is performed
Classification: Applications
Product: kasts
Version First 25.12.3
Reported In:
Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
With gpodder.net sync set up and multiple episodes in queue, the currently
playing episode stops, is marked as finished and the next episode is starting,
when an automatic quick upload to sync server is performed. This does not
happen when performing a manual sync. Happens to me on a podcast added with RSS
URL and then added multiple episodes to the queue. Happens when streaming the
episode but not when the episode was downloaded first.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set up gpodder sync.
2. Add multiple episodes to queue.
3. Stream episode and wait for automatic quick sync.
OBSERVED RESULT
Currently playing episode stops, is marked as finished and the next episode is
starting.
EXPECTED RESULT
Continue playing current episode.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: Not tested.
macOS: Not tested.
(available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window)
Linux/KDE Plasma: Manjaro with KDE Plasma DE.
KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.23.0
Qt Version: 6.10.2
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I deduced the connection to quick sync by looking at the time of last quick
sync and it seemed to be at the same time as my issue occurred. Unfortunately,
without an option to change the interval of automatic quick synchronization, it
is very time consuming to properly test this. This issue does NOT occur, when
the episode was downloaded instead of streamed.
