SUMMARY
Monitor still detected and windows can be dragged there even when the monitor
isn't plugged in. Only tested on 2 laptops, Ideapad 5 slim (2020, i7) and HP
Omen 16" Mid 2025

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use a laptop (first found on a hp omen mid 2025 with ryzen 9 8940hx and rtx
5060)
2. Plug in a monitor and use it
3. Reboot, but have the monitor turned off.
4. unplug monitor on logged in reboot.
5. works like a charm

OBSERVED RESULT
KDE Still detects the monitor, despite its actual lack of being plugged in on
the first place
EXPECTED RESULT
It would not appear.
