Crash log with Mesa 25.2.8
DESCRIPTION
The problem occurred after this commit in kwin-wayland
(https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwin/-/merge_requests/8913/diffs?commit_id=23ded4abaee9ffc0459282be2e07238285f9f37e).
If I launch KDE Neon as a guest OS, and I have the virtio video driver selected
in QEMU/KVM, Wayland crashes (black screen, several attempts, and then throws
it back into the DM).
But it works in X11, or if I select VGA driver instead of virtio.
If I upgrade Mesa from PPA to 25.3.6 or 26.x, then the problem goes away.
So, after this commit, either some bug came out in Mesa 25.2.8, or there was
some kind of regression in Kwin itself.
I am attaching the crash log on 25.2.8 and the successful log from 25.3.6.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Download latest KDE Neon Unstable ISO
2. Create new VM (QEMU/KVM) with virtio driver
3. Launch Live CD from ISO
OBSERVED RESULT
Black screen, wayland crash
EXPECTED RESULT
The wayland session should load and Plasma should work
