Yes can confirm if you select a lossless format and scan it will scan from the scanner lossy this may be because scanners send it lossy if it isn't set to 48bit color. This should be a configuration option selection or the default if a lossless file format is selected. Vuescan did not have the same artifacts when 48bit color is selected. Skanlite does have the same problem but it also does not allow for forcing 48bit color.
