Do you have any screenshots or videos? I cannot reproduce this on Krita 6.x,
using a mouse on Arch Linux with KDE. I'm curious if I am missing something.

I tried the Bezier tool with varying options and modifiers, but, in any
scenario, the Bezier tool never prematurely committed the selection.
