Thanks for the feedback. I agree that having an icon that looks like the one
normally associated with menus isn't great. We could consider another icon
here.

It looks like it's the default icon for packages without an icon (non-gUI
packages, like vim). GUI 
This affects distros using the apt or another backend where individual updates
aren't hidden under the "System Updates" entry. It doesn't affect snap or
flatpak based updates

Changing this to wishlist, since it's a feature request rather than a bug.
