            Bug ID: 520104
Summary: Night Color++. Gently reduce backlight brightness,
                    reduce brightness, desaturate.
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kwin
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: night color
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

Warming up a screen seems like just one component of improving sleep
quality(and well other than the user using melatonin or choosing to just step
away from the screen 30 minutes before bed).
I think it would be nice if it was made a bit easier on those who don't do so.

On top of changing color temperature, with this implemented people could set
night color to:
1. Dull out visual content by desaturizing it.
2. Reduced backlight brightness.
3. Reduced brightness further with a screen filter. (poor quality screens see
reduced contrast when applying this screen filter, but it also dulls the screen
further. The user should be able to preview whether they will even be able to
shutdown their computer with this option enabled).

Naturally there are some days where people would hate that feature(New Year's
eve), but there's the option to just turn it off on the panel.
Ready to here your feedback about this feature request.
