Bug ID: 520108
Summary: Krusader shows empty FTP directory listing while other
FTP clients work correctly
Classification: Applications
Product: krusader
Version First 2.9.0
Reported In:
Platform: Debian stable
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: net-connection
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
When connecting to an FTP servers in Krusader using username and password, the
remote file panel appears completely blank. The only visible entry is .., which
allows navigation to the parent directory, but no files or folders are
displayed.
I have already tried changing the passive mode settings in KDE/Krusader, but
the issue persists.
While connecting to the same FTP servers in Krusader using anonymous (guest)
account, everything works flawlessly, no problems at all.
Issue appears for FTP servers in general, not specific one. Access works
without any problems using command-line FTP clients, Double Commander, Total
Commander on Windows or Android FTP clients.
The issue seems to be specific to Krusader. Tested on Debian 13/KDE
6.3.6/Krusader 2.9.0 and Kubuntu 26.04 Live.
Expected behavior:
Krusader should display the remote directory contents normally after connecting
to the FTP server.
Actual behavior:
The remote panel remains empty except for the .. entry.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Download Kubuntu 26.04 Live and run it.
2. Install Krusader.
3. Connect to any FTP server using your own username and password (do not use
anonymous/guest account).
OBSERVED RESULT
Blank file panel, only .. is visible.
EXPECTED RESULT
Filenames listed in the panel.
