Summary: plasma-welcome crashes after being idle for a bit
(fresh OS install)
Classification: Plasma
Product: Plasma Setup
Version First unspecified
Reported In:
Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: General

Target Milestone: ---
Description:
I had the Welcome Center open after a fresh Arch install. I stepped away for
about 10–15 minutes, came back, clicked through it, and it immediately crashed.
I didn’t do anything unusual — just let it sit open and then interacted with it
again.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open plasma-welcome
2. Leave it idle for a while
3. Come back and click something
4. It crashes
What I expected:
For it to stay open normally
What happened instead:
It segfaulted as soon as I interacted with it after being idle.
System info:
- Fresh Arch Linux install
- Plasma 6 (fully updated)
- Wayland session
- AMD GPU (Mesa)
- linux-zen kernel
- No custom KDE config yet
