Bug ID: 520344
Summary: Accents, tildes and umlauts stopped working as a
two-key combo on some applications
Classification: Plasma
Product: Plasma Keyboard
Version First unspecified
Reported In:
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]

Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
Some keyboard layouts (e.g., es) allow sequences of two keys to modify letters.
For example, "á" is typed by pressing the accent key and then the "a" key, or
"ü" can be typed by pressing "shift + ç" and then the "u" key.
After upgrading to Plasma 6.7 Beta, this is not working for me for some
applications (e.g., Signal or Telegram) while it works as before in most others
(Firefox, Kate, etc.).
I suspect this issue has something to do with the new keyboard feature that
allows to write alternative characters by keeping a key pressed (great new
feature by the way!!).
I know the report is still quite open, please let me know what other info would
help debug this.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Signal
2. Try to type any of the accented characters
OBSERVED RESULT
The letter is not modified as before.
EXPECTED RESULT
It works as with Plasma 6.6.
