I am trying to do a KDE Triage. I am not a KDE developer. I am a KDE user.

I am not able to replicate this issue.

In one of my directories I have an executable which in my case is "ls". When I
right click and select the option Compress > Compress to ls.tar.gz it creates a
ls.tar.gz. When I right click and select the option Compress > Compress to
ls.zip then a ls.zip archive file is created. If I select the executable file,
right click, select the option Compress > Compress to... and then chose the
format like Tar Archive (XZ - Compressed) or something else like Tar Archive
(Z-Compressed) then also an archive file is created. Please see the attached
screenshot (https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=192438) for more details.

Is the ask that if the user right clicks on an executable or binary file,
selects the option "Compress" then an option like "Add to existing archive"
should be presented?
OR
Is there a particular archive format into which an executable/binary file
cannot be compressed using the right click option? If yes then please provide
the format.
OR
Is there some other ask
