DESCRIPTION
The insert text annotation feature for pdfs in okular does not always adhere to
the bounding box drawn and the failure mode is not clear: sometimes the box
behaves as normal and text is cropped at the bottom (note: I would have
expected the box to vertically expand to fit the text) and sometimes (the bug)
it ignores the width of the box and produces text that often lies above the
document instead of staying e.g. in the margins. Often, this appears when the
box fits exactly two lines and the amount of text is just a bit too much. The
problem for me is that is happens only sometimes and thus is hard to reproduce.
Note: when looking at the resulting box by selecting it afterwards, the width
matches what is shown on the screen, not what I initially drew.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a pdf (say: arxiv paper)
2. press "4" to insert text
3. Draw a box, insert text that is a little too long to fit into the box.
4. one of the two behaviors described above happens
OBSERVED RESULT
sometimes the width of the bounding box is ignored
EXPECTED RESULT
The width of the hand-drawn bounding box is always adhered too
