After discussion with XWayland maintainers (big thanks to Olivier Fourdan), the issue appears to be related to clipboard handling. The issuse has been reproduced and analyzed. As soon as any content is copied to the clipboard, LibreOffice immediately unfreezes and returns to normal operation. This strongly suggests that clipboard synchronization or clipboard ownership handling is involved.
