Bug ID: 520811
Summary: Firefox restart with "needs attention" hangs task
manager auto-hide
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasma-browser-integration
Version First unspecified
Reported In:
Platform: openSUSE
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Firefox
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
If Firefox is restarted either with a reboot->login or after a Firefox crash or
kill, and a Firefox window "needs attention" the task manager will no longer
auto-hide even after the "needs attention" is cleared. `Alt+F2->plasmashell
--replace` restores proper functionality. This is deterministic. I have only
experienced this with Firefox, but it may not be Firefox specific.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Firefox windows which will neeed attention upon restart after kill.
Maybe Facebook
2. Run a system update (slowroll) or `sudo reboot` (or `Ctrl+Meta+Esc` and
click a Firefox window)
3. Firefox launches upon login after reboot. (or launch Firefox from the task
manager icon)
4. Task manager is un-hidden due to "needs attention"
5. Clear all of the "needs attention" windows.
OBSERVED RESULT
Task manager remains visible.
EXPECTED RESULT
Task manager should auto-hide.
