Coredump info and full backtraces for KRunner and plasmashell crashes on Fedora
44 with Plasma 6.7 beta2.
I encountered repeated crashes of KRunner and plasmashell on Fedora 44 after
installing KDE Plasma 6.7 beta2 packages.
Environment:
- Distribution: Fedora 44
- Platform: Fedora RPMs
- Session: Plasma Wayland
- Plasma version: 6.6.91 / Plasma 6.7 beta2
- Package source: Fedora KDE beta COPR (@kdesig/plasma-6.7-beta)
- Affected package: plasma-workspace-6.6.91-1.fc44
Steps to reproduce:
1. Log into a Plasma Wayland session.
2. Open KRunner, or open the Application Menu from the panel.
3. Type any search text.
Actual result:
KRunner and plasmashell crashes immediately with SIGSEGV.
Note:
The crashes happened while running Plasma 6.7 beta2 / 6.6.91 packages. I have
since reverted to stable Plasma packages.
