Mohammed <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEEDSINFO |REPORTED Resolution|WAITINGFORINFO |--- --- Comment #2 from Mohammed <[email protected]> --- SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: TUXEDO OS KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.19.0 Qt Version: 6.9.2 Kernel Version: 6.17.0-119029-tuxedo (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Graphics Processor 1: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU Graphics Processor 2: IntelĀ® Graphics Additional Information: The issue occurs on KDE Plasma 6 Wayland with hybrid Intel + NVIDIA graphics. While investigating a Chromium performance/rendering issue, I repeatedly observed the following message in the system logs: kwin_wayland_wrapper: error in client communication The issue is reproducible. Related observations: Firefox under Wayland performs normally. Chrome under Wayland shows severe performance degradation in the affected workload. Chrome under X11 performs significantly better. Forcing Chrome to use the NVIDIA render node can produce: libwayland: error 7: importing the supplied dmabufs failed followed by Trace/breakpoint trap (SIGTRAP) I am not sure whether the root cause is in Chromium, KWin, DMA-BUF handling, or the NVIDIA/Wayland interaction, but I wanted to provide the complete system information requested and the relevant KWin log message for investigation. Setting bug status back to REPORTED as requested. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
