            Bug ID: 521286
Summary: Dolphin crashes when opening SMB share after
                    successful authentication
    Classification: Applications
           Product: dolphin
      Version First 23.08.5
       Reported In:
          Platform: unspecified
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Keywords: drkonqi
          Severity: crash
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]

  Target Milestone: ---

Application: dolphin (23.08.5)

Qt Version: 5.15.13
Frameworks Version: 5.115.0
Operating System: Linux 6.17.0-35-generic x86_64
Windowing System: X11
Distribution: Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS
DrKonqi: 5.27.11 [KCrashBackend]

-- Information about the crash:
Dolphin crashes while browsing SMB shares on a Windows host. Authentication
appears to succeed, and the available shares are briefly displayed in the
background, but Dolphin then terminates unexpectedly.

Environment:
- Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS
- KDE Plasma / Dolphin
- SMB3 (SMB1 disabled)

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Dolphin.
2. Connect to an SMB server (e.g. smb://hostname).
3. Enter valid credentials.
4. Shares become visible briefly.
5. Dolphin crashes.

Expected result:
Dolphin should display the available shares and allow navigation.

Actual result:
Dolphin crashes immediately after the shares are displayed.

Additional information:
The SMB server is reachable and shares can be enumerated successfully using
smbclient. The issue appears to be in Dolphin/KIO-SMB rather than Samba
authentication itself.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

-- Backtrace:
Application: Dolphin (dolphin), signal: Segmentation fault
