Sorry it took this long for someone to get to this report.

I tried reproducing the issue on a touchscreen laptop with an external screen.
The touch screen is a separate device from the display and the two are mapped
under touchscreen settings. Out of the box, the mapping is set to Auto. 

The Auto mapping does work correctly for me on all versions I tried. On 6.4.5
(Fedora 43 ISO), I can get the Auto mapping to break by first setting it to the
wrong monitor, then to Auto. On 6.6.5 (latest), I cannot trigger this at all.

If this is still an issue, I would recommend updating and playing with the
mapping settings (again, under Touschreen) until the right device is selected.
