Title: Clipboard synchronization works only Linux → Android, fails Android →
Linux
Environment:
- Linux Mint 22.3 Cinnamon
- Cinnamon 6.6.7
- X11 session
- KDE Connect 23.08.5-0ubuntu5
- Android: Xiaomi 12T
- HyperOS 2.0 (Android 15)
- KDE Connect Android: latest version from Google Play
Device pairing:
- Pairing successful
- Device visible and online
- Ping works in both directions
- File transfer works
- Notifications work
Problem:
Clipboard synchronization only works from Linux to Android.
When text is copied on Linux, it automatically appears on the Android device.
When text is copied on Android, the Linux clipboard is not updated.
Expected behavior:
Clipboard synchronization should work in both directions automatically.
Actual behavior:
- Linux → Android: works
- Android → Linux: does not work
Troubleshooting performed:
1. Verified device pairing.
2. Verified both devices are online.
3. KDE Connect clipboard plugin enabled on both devices.
4. Battery optimization disabled for KDE Connect on Xiaomi HyperOS.
5. Background activity allowed.
6. Clipboard permissions granted.
7. Repaired devices multiple times.
8. Tested clipboard with xclip under X11.
9. Confirmed Linux clipboard changes propagate to Android.
10. Confirmed Android clipboard changes do not reach Linux.
Additional information:
Commands executed:
kdeconnect-cli -l
Output:
Xiaomi 12T connected and paired.
X11 session confirmed:
echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE
Output:
x11
Installed version:
apt policy kdeconnect
Output:
23.08.5-0ubuntu5
Observation:
The issue appears to affect only clipboard reception on Linux. All other KDE
Connect functionality works correctly.
