I gave it a shot, and found a way to reproduce a brief hang in Plasma by following the following steps: 1. Make sure the clipboard is configured to save non-text selections "only when explicitly copied" (which is the default setting) 2. Open the Clipboard system tray widget and pin it open 3. Download the image at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1m4zHQcCQ4xy3yQk1Zbkm4VzT1vzY6I8_/view (should be about 34 MB) 4. Open the image in GIMP 5. Select all > copy 6. move pointer vertically over the items in the pinned-open clipboard popup At a certain point, Plasma freezes and the clipboard popup's UI elements stop responding to being hovered. After a few seconds, the copied image appears in the clipboard and the freeze ends.
