The notification system and applet allow setting DnD mode to prevent
notifications from showing notifications for a configurable amount of time. It
appears that there is no DnD mode for single applications yet, and the only
option is to reconfigure whether the application's notifications are shown at
all and manually enabling them afterward again. Since notifications from
different applications are already grouped together, it would probably be
straightforward to add a DnD button to each group to allow muting only certain
applications.
