Bug ID: 522033
Summary: Touchpad actions - Overview / present windows
Classification: Plasma
Product: kwin
Version First 6.7.0
Reported In:
Platform: Ubuntu
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: effects-overview
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
There are problems with trackpad gestures in Overview.
Following the update to KDE 6.7, the behaviour of two- and three-finger
gestures on windows displayed in Overview and in 'Present Windows' has changed.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Enable 'Overview – Present Windows'.
2. Tap a displayed window on the trackpad with two or three fingers.
3. This should make the window visible across all virtual desktops (two
fingers) or close the window (three-finger tap).
Observed result
Nothing happens. A single-finger tap or a three-finger sideways swipe work as
expected.
Expected result
Normally, a two-finger tap on a window should make it visible on all virtual
desktops, while a three-finger tap should close it. I'm not sure if this is the
default setting, but I haven't made any changes.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: SlimbookOS 24.0 (Ubuntu LTS 24.04)
- KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.0
- KDE Frameworks Version: 6.27.0
- Qt Version: 6.11.1
Additional information: While I don't have a mouse to reproduce this behaviour,
trackpad gestures and touches work as expected outside the 'Overview/Present
Windows' context.
