            Bug ID: 522131
Summary: HDR with ICC Profile Oversaturates Colors
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kwin
      Version First 6.7.1
       Reported In:
          Platform: CachyOS
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: colour-management
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION:

Now that ICC profiles with HDR are supported in 6.7, I noticed my ICC profile
would just oversaturated and kill the colors. Everything appeared overbaked.
Others reported this issue and was told in 6.7.1, this, in theory, should be
fixed. I wanted to create a bug report that this behavior is still happening.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add ICC profile in Display Settings
2.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
Terrible, oversaturated and baked colors.

EXPECTED RESULT
Slight change in color accuracy from built-in.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a
terminal window):
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.27
Qt Version: 6.11.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I am using Wayland with an Nvidia RTX 4090. Also, the monitor in question is
the LG C2 which is running via HDMI.

Profile was generated with a colorimeter.
