Change "Show Virtual Keyboard" to "With Touch, Tablet, and Mouse" with Plasma Keyboard enabled 2. Display the keyboard by clicking into the editor. At this point the behaviour seems to be consistent and reproducible with the previous reproduction steps. Even switching back to "With Touch and Tablet", or switching the selected Virtual Keyboard to "None" and then back to "Plasma Keyboard" the behaviour continues.
