SDL, prior to version 3.x, had text input enabled by default, which often went
unnoticed by developers not using a language that requires an IME. SDL 3.x
changed the default to off for this reason, but there are 25+ years worth of
native SDL 1.x and 2.x games that may have text input enabled at all times,
many of which are closed source and can't be fixed.
