Bug ID: 522288
Summary: Meta+P Shorcut and System Tray Menu to Change
Multi-Display Configuration Has Options Reverted
Classification: Plasma
Product: kwin
Version First 6.7.0
Reported In:
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: multi-screen
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
If I try to turn off my second monitor using Meta+P shortcut or system tray
icon, when I press "use only built in screen", it instead turns off the
secondary monitor. If I click "only use external screen", it does the opposite
and keeps the main monitor open and closes second monitor. "Extend to left" and
"extend to right" settings also seem to be reverted, doing the exact opposite
of what they are supposed to do. Basically, all settings are reverted for some
reason. I also made a video recording demonstrating the issue which you can
find here: https://youtu.be/DS5Az5QwlgM
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have both monitors open
2. Using meta+p shortcut or system tray icon, choose "Only use built-in screen"
3. Notice it turns off the wrong monitor instead
OBSERVED RESULT
Wrong monitor is turned off and all options do the opposite of what they are
supposed to do. "Extend to the left" instead extends to the right, vice versa.
EXPECTED RESULT
Options should perform the correct option.
