In an ideal worls I would love this too, as I don't like the UX concept of apps
having tray icons. But unfortunately it's not a good idea in the messy world we
inhabit. Some apps intentionally have only a tray icon; if you force it to be
hidden, you lose the ability to use the app and know when it's running. This is
why we currently offer this feature only on a per-app basis, so that you see
the warning about how this feature can be dangerous. If we let you do it
universally, you won't know that it's breaking apps that can be broken by it.
