Bug ID: 522364
Summary: Baloosearch protocol crashes when searching for
specific short text in Dolphin
Classification: Frameworks and Libraries
Product: frameworks-baloo
Version First 6.27.0
Reported In:
Platform: Neon
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: crash
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
I found a reproducible issue with the frameworks-baloo component while using
the KDE Dolphin file manager. The problem occurs when I perform a search in
Dolphin using the "Search Files and Folders" feature with Baloo indexing
enabled. For some short search strings, such as "casa de", Dolphin displays the
following error message:
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Dolphin.
2. Use Search Files and Folders.
3. Search using indexed search (Baloo).
4. Enter a short search string, for example: casa de.
OBSERVED RESULT
Observe that Dolphin displays the message: "The process for the baloosearch
protocol died unexpectedly."
EXPECTED RESULT
