Steps to reproduce:
1. Open System Settings -> Users.
2. Try to change the profile picture (either choosing a default icon or
uploading a custom PNG image).
Actual result:
The system throws a generic error and refuses to save/change the picture.
What I have tried so far to fix it:
- Installed accountsservice and polkit-kde-agent.
- Set correct permissions (755) for /var/lib/AccountsService/.
- Fixed home directory ownership using chown.
- Created custom Polkit rules to allow wheel group modifications.
- Installed image backend formats (kimageformats and qt6-imageformats).
- The image can be changed successfully using direct terminal commands, but the
GUI completely fails and breaks.
