And all of them can be different than the default setting. (Plus file formats can specify their own on top of that, and even ignore the chosen theme if they really want to.) (I also prefer explicit choices over software “automagically” choosing for me, because that is not only condescending, but always results in favoring the behavior the (loudest and) dumbest common denominator of users and forcing everyone else to obey the same behavior, leading to Idiocracy.
