Application launcher opened against youtube - Subjectively very beautiful

DESCRIPTION

Subjective visual improvement being suggested here.

By default, the panel's opacity is set to adaptive, which makes sense: this is
beautiful against the desktop background, but may look out of place when a
window is maximized, due to the translucent panel being right against a
presumable opaque window.

However, whether a window is maximized or not, the widgets could still be
translucent by default, as they do not suffer this problem: a translucent
widget against a fullscreen window would simply look like it "fits in" - for
example, using a translucent menu while scrolling the youtube homepage makes
for a great visual effect.

As such, I would like to propose for the widgets to always be translucent when
their containing panel uses adaptive opacity, whether a window is maximized or
not.

---

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Set your panel to translucent, open the menu and scroll over the youtube
homepage. Imagine the panel being opaque so it doesn't clash with the window's
contents, while the menu blends in perfectly with th window's contents.

---

OBSERVED RESULT

Widgets get opaque when a window is maximized, aka 90% of the time, making the
whole transparency thing mostly invisible most of the time

---

EXPECTED RESULT

I suggest keeping the widgets translucent in adaptive mode so they blend in
with whatever window is behind, making good use of KDE's beautiful blur effect.

As an alternative, the applets could be set as translucent if and only if they
are set to be floating, where the issue of translucent widget backgrounds
clashing with whatever appears on the screen's borders.

Following that logic, we could further make panels translucent by default when
they are set to floating and auto-hide, but that would be a conversation for a
separate time.

---

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Operating System: Fedora Kinoite 44
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.27.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1

---

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The opinion presented here is purely subjective; I just think it would help
Plasma look good, and allow us to make a better and more creative use of its
blur effect.
