I had this issue as well so put off my update hoping it would be fixed, but today it *still failed* to update. As mentioned by others here, I had to resort to removing the pulseaudio packages to get it to update, it did not remove them automatically. I never manually installed them (they were flagged as automatically installed), though I had already updated to 6.7 before I encountered this.
