            Bug ID: 522667
Summary: M4B chapter timestamps wrap after 24 hours in QT and
                    Nero chapters
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kid3
      Version First 3.10.x
       Reported In:
          Platform: Microsoft Windows
                OS: Microsoft Windows
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION

When opening an M4B audiobook longer than 24 hours, chapter timestamps are
displayed incorrectly after the 24:00:00 mark.

The chapter timestamps appear to wrap around to 00:00:00 instead of continuing
past 24 hours.

This happens in both chapter variants:
- Chapters (QT)
- Chapters (Nero)

For example, the chapter list shows:

Chapter 069: 23:49:46.54
Chapter 070: 00:01:10.1
Chapter 071: 00:22:21.89
Chapter 072: 00:57:41.96

But these chapters should actually be displayed as:

Chapter 069: 23:49:46.54
Chapter 070: 24:01:10.1
Chapter 071: 24:22:21.89
Chapter 072: 24:57:41.96

So the hours after 24 are lost/displayed modulo 24 hours.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Open an M4B audiobook file with total duration longer than 24 hours.
2. Open the "Chapters (QT)" section.
3. Look at chapters located after the 24:00:00 timestamp.
4. Open the "Chapters (Nero)" section.
5. Look at chapters located after the 24:00:00 timestamp.

OBSERVED RESULT

Chapter timestamps after 24:00:00 are displayed incorrectly in both chapter
editors.

They wrap around to 00:00:00, for example:
- 24:01:10 is shown as 00:01:10
- 24:22:21 is shown as 00:22:21
- 24:57:41 is shown as 00:57:41
- 25:17:58 is shown as 01:17:58

This makes it difficult or unsafe to edit chapter names and timestamps, because
chapters after 24 hours no longer show their real absolute position in the
audiobook.

EXPECTED RESULT

Chapter timestamps should continue past 24 hours in both QT and Nero chapters.

For example:
- 24:01:10
- 24:22:21
- 24:57:41
- 25:17:58

The chapter editor should display absolute audiobook time, not time-of-day
values limited to 24 hours.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Application version:
Kid3 version: 3.10.0

Operating System:
Windows 11

KDE Plasma Version:
not applicable

KDE Frameworks Version:
not applicable

Qt Version:
unknown

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The issue is visible in both:
- Chapters (QT)
- Chapters (Nero)

The file is an M4B audiobook longer than 24 hours.

This appears to be a display/parsing issue for chapter timestamps in M4B files
longer than 24 hours.

Saving the file in this state may potentially write incorrect chapter
timestamps, so I cannot safely edit chapters in long audiobooks.
