The bug here is that in 6.7.0, the feature "Allow using as pointer and keyboard" toggle in the Game Controller section of System Settings was enabled by default. Disabling that should fix the issue on your system. This should be "fixed" in 6.7.1 and later where the feature has been turned off by default. If there's still a bug with that toggle disabled, please reopen this report.
