`journalctl -fn0` running while going through steps-to-reproduce

DESCRIPTION

So, it's a weird bug. Of 2 laptops I have I can only reproduce that on one.

I'm setting up a brand new Ninkear YBook 15, which shows the problem. It has
same software KDE-wise as the older laptop, which doesn't have this problem.

Basically (see "steps"), closing the lid to suspend the laptop results in
random windows getting dislocated at different places. For some reason that's
only reproducible with *closing the lid*, i.e. suspending with just `systemctl
suspend` doesn't trigger it.

It *feels* as if YBook 15 a moment before suspend sends some "disconnect
monitor" signal which causes KWin to do something about windows positions… But
I couldn't see anything relevant in journalctl (attached as
`journalctl-reproducing.log`).

The only "extension" that may influence windows movement I have enabled is
"Virtual Desktops Only on Primary", but as I mentioned the older laptop have
the same configuration (including this extension) but doesn't have the problem.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have a laptop with one external screen connected (so 2 screens in total)
2. On desktop 3 screen 1, tile Telegram to the left and Qutebrowser to the
right
3. Switch to desktop 1 (important — have to be on a different desktop)
4. Suspend by closing the lid (important — `systemctl suspend` won't do, you
need to close the lid)
5. Wake up laptop
6. Switch back to desktop 3

OBSERVED RESULT

Both Telegram and Qutebrowser are dislocated at random locations with no
obvious pattern. Sometimes they just move to the 2nd screen, other times they
get misplaced on the 1st screen, sometimes they even end up on a completely
unrelated desktop (e.g. I saw them sometimes turning up on desktop 2, and just
as I was writing the text they turned up on 2nd monitor of 3rd desktop and then
got moved to desktop 1 as I switched there).

EXPECTED RESULT

Telegram and Qutebrowser should remain the locations you left them.
