Summary
When recording the desktop on KDE Plasma Wayland using the PipeWire screencast
interface, the recorded video contains persistent ghosting/trailing artifacts.
The artifacts are present in the saved recording, not just the preview.
The issue is reproducible with multiple applications that use the PipeWire
screencast interface, but does not occur with GPU Screen Recorder.

Steps to Reproduce
Log into a KDE Plasma Wayland session.
Open OBS Studio or Kooha.
Create a Screen Capture using the PipeWire screencast portal.
Record the desktop while moving windows or typing into the Opera address bar.
Review the recording.
Expected Result
The recording should match what is displayed on the screen.
Actual Result
The recording contains visible ghosting/trailing artifacts that are not visible
during normal desktop use.
Examples include:
Window trails remaining after moving windows.
KDE taskbar ghosting.
Blue highlight in the Opera address bar lingering in the recording after
typing.
Additional Testing
I tested three different recording applications:
OBS Studio → Ghosting present.
Kooha → Identical ghosting.
GPU Screen Recorder → Recording is completely clean.
Because GPU Screen Recorder records correctly while OBS and Kooha do not, the
issue appears to be specific to the Wayland PipeWire screencast path rather
than OBS itself or the NVIDIA driver.
Additional Notes
I also tested the following without any improvement:
Lowered both monitors from 175 Hz to 120 Hz.
Disabled Adaptive Sync.
HDR disabled.
Opera hardware acceleration enabled/verified.
Stable and testing Bazzite branches were tested (testing had separate capture
selection issues).
I can provide sample recordings demonstrating:
OBS with ghosting.
Kooha with identical ghosting.
GPU Screen Recorder capturing the same desktop without artifacts.
