While MR #49 aimed to limit concurrent image processing, a similar Out-Of-Memory (OOM) and heavy swap storm can still be triggered by opening a directory containing a single very large video file (e.g., an 8 GB stream recording) if its index (`moov` atom) is located at the end of the file. Gwenview/`kioworker` attempts to parse and buffer massive portions of the video file to generate a thumbnail, exhausting system memory.
