Bug ID: 523060
Summary: Touchpad can't move more then 1 window at a time in
Overview
Classification: Plasma
Product: kwin
Version First 6.7.0
Reported In:
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: effects-window-management
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
When in Overview, using the touchpad I can only move one window to another
desktop. After moving one window, you cannot select another and move it to a
different desktop as well, it won't even pickup the window and acts as if you
just selected that window and exits Overview. Using a normal bluetooth mouse, I
can move multiple windows to a different desktop. This holds true even when
first using the mouse to move windows and then trying to move windows with the
touchpad before exiting the Overview. You can't try the other way as it exits
the Overview when you try and pick-up another window using the touchpad.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enter Overview with multiple windows open on the desktop
2. Using the touchpad, pick-up a window and move it to a different desktop
3. Using the touchpad, attempt to pick-up another window
OBSERVED RESULT
Exits Overview back to the desktop
EXPECTED RESULT
Picks up the window so you can move it to a different desktop
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a
terminal window):
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.28.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I first experienced this with the initial 6.7.0 release, but didn't get the
time to write this bug until now and wanted to test the minor releases to see
if any fixed it. My laptop is a Lenovo P16 gen 2 with the NVIDIA GPU and the
NVIDIA drivers are installed from RPMFusion (Version: 595.80) paired with an
Intel iGPU.
