Basically, metabugs are for the benefit of developers; they make it easy to
find related issues in the same codebase, to make them easier to fix en masse.

This falls apart a bit if bugs are grouped by a user-facing criterion (e.g.
"thumbnails") rather than a technical criterion (e.g. "the thumbnailing process
itself" or "desktop files"). This can be tricky to do if you don't know the
underlying technical details, but in time, you'll figure it out.
