DESCRIPTION
I use a laptop which I connect to an external display, and every time the
laptop sleeps, the external is removed and then re-added on wake-up. I assume
this is by design for energy efficiency, but the annoying thing is that
notifications are sent every time and accumulate when the laptop wakes multiple
times by accident; I regularly login to 8-10 such notifications.
It would be nice if the system could detect that the display disconnect is due
to a sleep cycle and not report it (unless of course when the display was
physically disconnected during sleep).
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect external display
2. Enter sleep (through the Application Launcher)
3. Wake from sleep
4. Login to see the notifications
OBSERVED RESULT
Display Removed/Detected notifications.
EXPECTED RESULT
No notifications, as they are not very helpful in this case. I would expect
these notifications only when I physically (dis)connect a display, or there is
some malfunction and the connection is lost.
