Steps to reproduce:
Have Folder View on desktop enabled
Put some files on desktop (PDF, JPEG, .desktop files, etc.)
Observe that icons/previews are stretched horizontally (wrong aspect ratio)
Same issue with some application icons (e.g. Discover)
Expected behavior:
Icons and previews should keep correct aspect ratio (not stretched).
Actual behavior:
Horizontal stretching of icons and thumbnails on desktop only.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
After updating to Plasma 6.7.2 (and still present in 6.7.3), icons and file
previews on the desktop (Folder View widget) are stretched horizontally.
In Dolphin and in the cache everything looks normal.
One of my custom icons (discover icon) is stretched out on the taskbar, but not
in the Task Manager.
Problem happens on both Wayland and X11
Cache clearing, reinstalling plasma-workspace + kdegraphics-thumbnailers,
changing icon theme (Breeze) — does not help, even in new user account
