[email protected] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution|--- |WORKSFORME CC| |[email protected] Status|REOPENED |NEEDSINFO --- Comment #6 from [email protected] --- Can't reproduce on a Radeon RX 6750 XT (navi22, Mesa 26.1.4), Plasma/KWin 6.7.2 Wayland, single display at 155% fractional scale. Maximized native-Wayland Firefox focused, ran all the animations that should jank (launcher open/close, minimize/restore, app launch, tab churn) and it stayed smooth. Logged gpu_busy_percent the whole time: averaged ~20%, peaked 78%, never hit 80% across about 20s of hammering. So the GPU had headroom to spare and never saturated. That lines up with the starvation theory. On this card Firefox just can't render hard enough to starve the compositor, so nothing drops. Might be the discriminating test: can someone who does reproduce it log their gpu_busy_percent during the jank? If theirs pins near 100% while mine sits at 20%, that points at GPU saturation rather than KWin itself. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
